Aaron Burr House

A Brief History: The Aaron Burr House is located 80 West Bridge Street in New Hope, Pennsylvania. Now used as a bed and breakfast, the Aaron Burr House once housed Aaron Burr for a week after his famous duel in 1804 that resulted in the death of Alexander Hamilton. The house recently came under new ownership in April of 2018. The house is themed, with each room named after important figures and terms from the Revolutionary War. The new owner is well versed on her history and can tell you more about Aaron Burr and the rich history of the town.

Haunted History: It is said that Aaron Burr still lingers on the property today. He has been spotted roaming the house, peering around corners and people claim they have even seen him around town anxiously watching his back as if he was being followed. It is said Burr likes to tug on guests clothing if he likes them and doesn’t want them to leave.
