A Brief History: Standing tall at 715 North Chaparral Street, in Corpus Christi Texas is the Ritz Theatre. This wonder was built in 1929 and opened on Christmas day as one of the only spoken picture theatres in the area. The theatre was designed by theatre pioneer Bruce Collins and had 1300 seats. It is best know as the Ritz Music Hall from the 1970’s when it was a live music venue. During that time noted musicians such as Bob Dylan, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Willie Nelson, Def Leppard and Metallica. The theatre shut down in 1989. There have been many people over the years trying to restore this gem.

Haunted History: Back in 2012 there was a walking tour that visited the theatre. Apparently the ghosts became too real and the tours ended. The building received a spiritual cleansing but some suspect that the building is still haunted to this day.
