Good Ground Cemetery

A Brief History: Good Ground Cemetery is located at 38 Cemetery Road. in Hampton Bays, New York. This nondenominational cemetery was founded in 1882, but some of the graves predate that. The property was donated by Sylvanus R. Jackson, who also built the 2nd Methodist Church. Jackson and his family are buried in the cemetery. Perhaps the most famous name buried here is that of comedian Greg Giraldo, who died in 2010.

Haunted History: Many people have felt the presence of spirits here over the years. There have been EVPs captured here, as well as, reports of unexplained sounds, mists, shadows, and even an account of an apparition being spotted moving through the grounds.
